Review on Dorman 917-251 VVT Sprocket for Honda Models: Enhancing Engine Variable Valve Timing Performance by Scott Larson

Installed on a 2014 CRV with 133,000 miles that was making a loud rattle when starting the engine. This seems to be a common problem and replacing it fixed the issue for me. There is a video on how to do it right. To make it easier to use a marker on the chain and sprockets to mark location, you don't want the timing to be wrong! Be sure to readjust the intake and exhaust valves after replacement. I also changed the spark plugs here, the previous owner never did it. The rubber grommets would probably be fine, but I replaced them anyway. Now the engine starts quietly and has more power again.
