Review on πŸ”Š LOXJIE A10 Red Class-D Stereo Power Amplifier: High-Power Audiophile Level Amp Chip TPA3116 for Desktop by Joe Lantz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It only does one thing, but it does it well. And cheap!

Good: I was a bit surprised by the sound quality of this little machine. After a whole bunch of testing, I decided I preferred it to my Yamaha RX-377, which is a traditional (class A/B) amp. Yes, the RX-377 is not a high-end amp and Yamaha does many things while Loxjie only does one thing, but Loxjie does it better in my opinion. This might be the cutest amp in the world. I'm not sure how functional this form factor is, but I still like it. Tiny; This is ideal for a computer desk, for example, if you want to use traditional speakers instead of powered speakers. Build quality and packaging seem surprisingly good. Cons (and it matches the product description exactly): Only does one thing. , and this may limit its use. No remote control (which rules out many uses for me), no headphone jack (which might limit use with a computer), no subwoofer output, only one input. I would also like to point out that I didn't have some of the problems that others had. At this price point and from a relatively obscure brand, I would expect some quality control issues, but mine has been great so far.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • A bit ragged
