If you don't know, here's the scoop. This key does not have an eight-digit code. In order for this key to be fully functional, three things must happen. This key needs to be cut, the transponder needs to be programmed and the remote needs to be programmed by a locksmith as well. My locksmith was only able to cut and program the transponder but as the key didn't come with an 8 digit code they couldn't program the remote. The seller was kind enough to let me have the key and return the removed part as I had already cut it out. The seller claims that an 8 digit code is not required for this key to be fully functional, but I have had no luck with any of the locksmiths in the area where I live.
