Side clip has broken off right joystick control module. and stuck, preventing upward movement of the thumb grip. After breaking the controller, I realized that these replacement modules are better than the original parts. Original parts with the bezel and joysticks removed would have stuck at the extremes X or Y. The bezel limits travel so no binding occurs prior to disassembly. These new models don't. The running of these replacement parts is also smoother than the original parts. I wish I could take a little more time and swap both modules, but since this was my first attempt I was dying to try it! What I found helpful is that when you remove an old module, some videos were left out. It's good to have a solder wick or something similar to get wet and remove the old solder. This greatly simplifies the removal of the old module. Soldering the replacement was fairly easy, but removing it was tricky. I ended up breaking off a piece or two of the old module when trying to remove it from the board, but there were no other issues with the repair. It is very interesting to be able to repair a limited edition controller when it is very expensive and complicated. find more
