Works great for monitoring my kombucha. I've never used one of these before and unfortunately didn't come with any instructions on what to expect (maybe put some paper in the strip pocket or the label on the pocket?). If two colors are shown, consider the average of the two numbers as the exact value. Give him a chance to work too. I contacted the seller as I didn't see anything on the strip. It stayed white for several hours. The Brew Box Kits seller replied VERY quickly, probably within minutes of sending a message, and he explained how the strip works and even included a photo of how it should look like for reference. Helps a lot with troubleshooting. I left it overnight and voila, in the morning it was bright and visible! So maybe don't be discouraged if this doesn't read right away.
