Let's start with the naming. Apparently "Smart" means Bluetooth in Victron parlance. My device doesn't say "Smart Battery Protect" but it does say "Battery Protect (Smart)" on the box. My phone doesn't recognize it as a Bluetooth device and I don't know what to make of it. Bluetooth or not? Now we come to problem number two. In my video, the number 8 flashes at each end along with a dot. Check out the instructions. This blinking 8 is undocumented! Is it trying to connect with Bluetooth? Having a voltage problem? Is that DOA? Who knows!
