Child safety before entering.

I bought this mainly for child protection as my 2 year old has the ability to unbolt bolts and open doors. My wife and I wanted something to lock the door so one of us didn't have to go to the door to let the other in every time one of us left. This chain lock was just what we needed. This thing is solid, solid metal and heavy. For a chain lock, I find it just as good as she does. Installation took 5 minutes, the hardest part was drilling holes in the metal door panel. The keyhole is located at the top of the lock and works by putting your hand through the hole in the door (gap about 3-4 inches) and inserting the lock's small key. It's a bit tricky as the lock is right against the wall. After unlocking, gravity does the rest: the heavy chain falls out of the bottom of the lock and lies against the inside of the door. The set comes with 2 keys for the padlock and while I haven't had any major issues the cut doesn't seem perfect. I have to work with the key a second or two longer than it takes to put it in the lock. No real issues here, though, but I'd prefer a smoother button than this. I'm not sure if I can make copies of these that work in the castle. Overall, I am happy with the weight and security of this door chain, as well as the functionality that allows entry without a permit. in.
