Review on Exo Terra Natural Glass Terrarium by Jackie Quimby

. It's been a few days now and so far so good. For information only

I installed 18x18x24 in a few days and so far so good. FYI: it's hard! I had to take him to the second floor and now he has to stay there until I die. The packaging was fine and it arrived via FedEx in perfect condition and ahead of schedule. I use this size for 2 anoles (that have a breeding history and have enough room for a few more). I'm sure every setup is a little different. My background is very comfortable. This means it stays in place well, but it was difficult to move even a little to pick the phone up. I was afraid I would break it if I tried too hard. I like its size and entrance. no more moving lamps! I wasn't sure if the sticky anole feet would work with foam but they hold up great! There's enough room on the bottom for more than one EE brick, and eventually I'll be able to add a false bottom. It's a little difficult to maintain humidity levels, but I'm also planning to invest in the rainy season. The door latch seems very strong, although I also use lock holes because I have a very interested kitten. I like the holes in the top where hoses and wires can be inserted. At the moment I mainly feed calcareous worms and other worms in a bowl, so I don't yet know how crickets will perform in this configuration. So far I'm very happy with this purchase and *might* invest in buying a smaller size for travel. ETA: I bought 2 packs of clutch pins from Walmart for less than a dollar and they fit the keyholes perfectly. Be careful during installation and removal as the door handles are plastic. Gives me peace of mind that my cat can NEVER open doors.

Pros
  • Lockable entries for wire and/or tubing
Cons
  • Functionality
