Review on ๐Ÿ”Š Pair of JBL Flip 5 Black Portable Bluetooth Speakers, Waterproof for On-the-Go Listening by Alisa Jones

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good friends

I bought these 2 sets because each speaker is cheaper than buying 2 individually. I needed 2? no After these two, did I have to buy 3 more JBL speakers? no Did I do all this anyway? Absolutely. Important notes: You are using PartyBoost, NOT Connect or Connect+ and will not connect to older speakers. At the time of review, the only JBL speakers on PartyBoost were the Flip 5, Pulse 4, and Boombox 2. Because they're designed to be portable, you may expect too much from the sound quality. They are way better than my previous BT speaker which is a nice touch. And having mini surround sound with party boost is very nice. Charging via USB C instead of USB Micro is a big advantage. They get loud enough and stay crisp when you blast them. Don't expect the same quality as a thousand dollar speaker and you will be very satisfied. Cons: - They use Bluetooth 4.2 instead of 5.x. It's a bit of a confusing choice, but all BTs are backwards compatible, so it's not a big deal. And it's much better than the previous speaker. In fact, I can move a few feet and they won't turn off right away! but using the latest standard would be cool. One of the two sometimes "tweets". Just a very quick short beep. This happens so infrequently that I can't tell if it's a manufacturing defect, a Bluetooth glitch, or a problem with PartyBoost? The one I connected directly to my phone doesn't seem to chirp, but the one connected via PartyBoost does. But I can listen all day and I might hear it once or twice. It is quite possible that this is not the case. Not enough to put me off, but enough to annoy me a little. In general very satisfied!
