There is nothing an adult turtle could use in a pond. You have to build something, so I was excited when I saw that. My girl loves the carp pond I have mostly because it's not easy to deal with a large tank that likes a 7 inch turtle that can grow to 12 inches. Anyway, when I saw it, I bought it. I don't think the price matches it and it's definitely overpriced. I don't really like this stuff because it stays wet and doesn't dry very well. It bled when I cleaned it and the platform doesn't stay in place very well. I ended up just taking the rope off, attaching the bag and adding stones because the grommets on the bag are so long. Now it's in an almost 6 foot pond. The bag touches the ground even after removing the cord and tying the cord bag to the platform. That's several long lines. Despite these shortcomings, it works well for what I need and is large. It fits perfectly in the corner of my pond and I love that it goes into the water a bit. The material allows my tortoise (who doesn't do well with most ramps) to climb and bask on it. She was on it for 10 minutes and she seemed pretty in it. She also uses it as a hiding place and likes to carry it around like a toy. I love that she gets to enjoy the sun, especially as she doesn't want to sunbathe on everything I've built for her. She spent three months standing on nothing, including a custom ramp and platform. For her, love for it came as a surprise and a relief. I look forward to enjoying it even more as I see it get hot. I also like that it looks so natural. To be honest I couldn't even tell it was fake. The platform looks like a big rock and I even braced myself to pick it up just to see how light it is. I liked that it looked so natural without disturbing the look of my pond. Good product.
