Good for candles. I was skeptical at first as it was intended for gas lighting, but if you hold it over a candle wick long enough it will ignite. Sometimes it takes a few seconds. It's VERY EASY TO USE! Basically it is a warning to keep it away from children/animals. Neither do I, so it's perfect for what I need. Click the switch to turn it on. Hold the button down until a spark appears, then shoot! :) I've lit about 10 candles so far and it still hasn't noticeably lost battery life, so it looks like it'll last a while on a single charge.
