My favorite eco-lighting solution for my oven

I love this little gadget! It seems well made and has a computer charging cable. Charges very quickly in minutes. And it has an on/off switch so it stays charged for months even though I use it to light my stove many times a day. It requires no fuel. And it's a great alternative to matches or other lighters that end up in the trash and landfill when the fuel runs out. I like it so much I bought a second one.

  • Perfect for outdoor activities

Worked great for about a week

Pretty handy for what it does. It lights fire, it's rechargeable, it's cool, and did I mention it lights fire? As long as it isn't. He had light housework, lighting candles and the like. The battery was not empty for too long between charges. And every time it charged, the battery life got shorter. Now it doesn't charge at all and doesn't light up. I wanted to love this lighter so bad but how can you like the fact that life was so short. In short, disposable. Didn't make it to a month. Rest in…

Works well for candles.

Good for candles. I was skeptical at first as it was intended for gas lighting, but if you hold it over a candle wick long enough it will ignite. Sometimes it takes a few seconds. It's VERY EASY TO USE! Basically it is a warning to keep it away from children/animals. Neither do I, so it's perfect for what I need. Click the switch to turn it on. Hold the button down until a spark appears, then shoot! :) I've lit about 10 candles so far and it still hasn't noticeably lost battery life, so it…

Not safe for children IMHO

I have used disposable butane long neck candle lighters but figured this would be a more environmentally friendly option. It's great for lighting my candles, but I took off a star because I didn't think they should advertise it as safe for children. A light touch is all it takes to turn the switch on and then the blue lights come on and I'm sure a small child will want to play with it some more. I don't even dare put it in a drawer for fear it might accidentally turn on and start a fire. There…

Long battery life and ease of use

I use it to light candles. LIKE: easy to use, flexible, sleek and modern look, long battery life. In the picture you can see 4/5 indicators showing the battery life. Only charged once when I received it in the mail. I'm notorious for forgetting to turn it off. Regardless, there are still 4 lights! That's great! DON'T LIKE: It's dangerous if I forget to turn it off. If I package it this way, anything that can push the ignition button could potentially start a fire. BUT you just have to remember…

Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Flameless rechargeable lighter. What's not to like?

It's so cool. It takes some practice to get used to where to place the device in relation to the wick. A few approaches and you probably get the hang of it. I really LOVE the flameless concept. I would look after the children with him. I'm sure an arc that can light a candle will also burn skin. God saves the man who saves himself. We have a candelabra with 10 medium candles and 4 decorative candles. We use 3-4 times a week. I don't like playing around with those long matches. The device…
