According to Meguiar's, Ultimate Protectant is more or less the same as Ultimate Black, despite what the product description states otherwise. They use a very similar water based polymer formula and you can use them interchangeably. UP is available in a spray format for those who prefer interior spray, while UB has a higher gloss than UP so it's a matter of personal preference for application method and gloss level. I've used UP in and out of my car and love how it works, even on tires. 2 coats of UP give the tire a stylish, shiny look (the attached photo was taken indoors in daylight) and a dry feel before gradually morphing into a brand new tyre. for a few weeks. Your hands stay clean even when touching UP treated surfaces. Their finish doesn't attract dirt or dust like some oil-based dressings. UP also leaves a new fresh scent. For interior decorations such as dashboard, leather, plastic, door seal, etc., it may be shiny for some. You can buff it with a towel to reduce the shine. Compared to Meguiar's Endurance Tire Gel (grape juice), a single coat of Endurance gives a wet tire a shinier look that impresses those unfamiliar with details. Endurance lasts a few weeks too, but Endurance doesn't really feel dry.
