Review on XFasten Super Strength Duct Tape by Tray Smith

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for small repairs in the shower.

I recently moved into a new apartment where all the bathroom tiles have been painted white over the original blue. A month later, a piece of paint was peeling off in the shower, and with it a layer of tile. Pooh. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, maintenance is doing nothing more than emergency work at the moment and this probably won't be up to par, so I figured out how to fix it myself. All the touch up paints I've looked at require a lot of sanding and three days to cure, and I'm not very good at using them, but then I remembered the king of MacGyver repairs: duct tape. Brilliant white? Yes. Waterproof? Fabulous! I taped a piece over the peeling paint, rubbed vigorously to get the bubbles out, and voila: it's all set and you can barely see it. I'm sure it won't last forever - duct tape never does - but I'll just stick on a new piece if the old one fails. This tape is strong, but unlike gorilla tape, it won't resist you if you try to tear it off the roll or stick it to your skin like crazy. I bought the white one but I like it so much I'm going to get the black one too. :-D
