We have a soapstone wood stove. Have used both Rutland and Meeco's. This one is better for our stove and pipe. Our stainless pipe comes straight out the back of the stove and wall and then runs outside into the house. Very prone to creosote buildup, especially when it's not that cold outside and you can't make a roaring fire.... especially in a soapstone stove! Rutland didn't really do much but one scoop of Meeco's Red Devil and all the creosote comes out right away, even on the glass :-) Love it!
