The radio has a large, sturdy body with a very professional look

After reading some positive reviews I was so happy to get this radio; However, it was quite a disappointment. I immediately updated the firmware to the latest version (we are now at 1.46 GPS) and there are still numerous bugs that render this radio unusable. PROS: The radio has an excellent solid body with a very professional feel. There is no flashlight or other gimmicks like some radios. When you close your eyes, you'll feel like Motorola is in your hands. The battery life is also above average and can easily be used for a whole day. CONS: I get reports of very muffled audio and low mic volume, especially with analog equipment. I don't want to yell into a microphone or speak directly into the radio so I can be heard. Second, sometimes the radio freezes and none of the knobs or buttons work (including the radio on/off button). The only solution is to remove the battery and restart. Third, I've attached a picture of several error transmission bugs. I have verified that the repeater works correctly with other portable radios. If you keep pressing the PTT button, it eventually works and connects. Finally (and worst of all) I have serious problems with the RX disconnect. The radio simply chooses when to receive transmissions. I'm sitting here with another DMR radio listening to the Tac310 channel. Ailunce HD1 receives less than 50% of calls. Sometimes even less than 10%. You have to turn the radio off and on again and it will pick up the incoming signal again for a few seconds before disappearing again. This problem renders the radio unusable. Hopefully they can fix everything with firmware updates before my Revain refund period expires.
