Ideal for pipe, fittings and accessories

I used this to replace a brass vane on a pool pump circuit. Brass failed after 20 years but I needed a fitting to install it. Voila! This valve contains a fitting. It's well constructed BUT one of those valves broke. I installed with the appropriate pipe dope. Installed the second valve with teflon tape. Manual tightening of threads, no more than required to cap a mayonnaise jar (Hellman). I was sure it would leak, but no: flawless, won't flow or tear. From this we conclude that PVC with Teflon is better than with Datura.
