Hayward Filter Connector

Had to cut all 3 of my hard wires on my Hayward Sand Filter to remove the selector piece on top to change the sand in the filter. Used them to hook it back up to my pool install. Now I can remove it with quick connectors so it's easier to swap out the sand after a few years if needed.

Pros
  • Tube Fittings
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Too big for Hayward Multiport Valve

I bought these for a Hayward top mount multiport sand filter for my pool with threads on one end, thought I would just screw them onto the valve and I had just disconnect it if the filter needs servicing or valve fittings are too big and won't fit next to the valve, won't fit with delay, or need to be rerouted to another area to fit leaving threads in the middle useless for the pipe you need You buy a fitting from the box magazine with tabs on both ends

Pros
  • Tools & Housewares
Cons
  • Not the best

Ideal for pipe, fittings and accessories

I used this to replace a brass vane on a pool pump circuit. Brass failed after 20 years but I needed a fitting to install it. Voila! This valve contains a fitting. It's well constructed BUT one of those valves broke. I installed with the appropriate pipe dope. Installed the second valve with teflon tape. Manual tightening of threads, no more than required to cap a mayonnaise jar (Hellman). I was sure it would leak, but no: flawless, won't flow or tear. From this we conclude that PVC with Teflon
