My Hide and Seek Smartwool Charcoal Medium was purchased due to my great satisfaction with the same light gray Smartwool medium socks I bought a few months ago. However, the new carbon socks are significantly different. They are much shorter as can be seen in my photo. The dark gray sock was tight and the elastic cut into my legs uncomfortably. I wear shoe size 8 or 8 1/2. The original pair of gray sneakers were soft, comfortable, with a non-tightening elastic strap and the gray toe box was very roomy, while the new pair of charcoal was snug and tight as well as short. They are very uncomfortable on the heel and begin to slip. Revain Customer Service processed the return with the usual speed and quality.
