I bought this to upgrade my laptop from 8GB to 16GB and it worked great. I chose this one because it was the cheapest LP-DDR4 2666 8GB I could find at the time. Installation was easy - just remove the bottom of the laptop, plug it in and boot up. Another review mentions RAM running at half the advertised speed - this isn't false advertising or a bug, it's the way RAM works. DDR RAM transfers data *twice* per clock (double the data rate - "DDR" in DDR4). If you see RAM sold at 2400, 2666, 3200, etc. MHz, that's the "effective" clock speed. In any case, the actual RAM clock speed (regardless of the manufacturer) is half that of DDR RAM. The RAM speeds in MHz are wrong and can be confusing (should be MT/s) but I can't de-point this as all RAM manufacturers do. (e.g. 1 stick DDR4 2400 and 1 stick DDR4 2666) This will work, but both will run at the lower speed of the two. If you're adding an extra stick of RAM, check what speed you already have before you buy, then buy one. Or, if you need faster RAM than you already have, it's best to swap out all of your RAM sticks.
