I had a problem with a 1998 Ford F150 with a fuel leak at the top of the tank due to rodents (probably small squirrels). I ended up cutting the flexible hoses that went to the top of the fuel tank and used two of those with new nylon cord and some new quick disconnects. All of this worked as expected on the existing steel lines. I had to heat the nylon cords to put them on the barbs and I clamped them as well. No leaks, works great. The only thing I recommend is to make sure your nylon fuel lines are the correct length. That's pretty important. That's flatbread, and everything else isn't too bad. I also had to drop the tank. It sucks!
