As a vet I've given away a lot of electronic collars, but when it came to my own German Shepherd roaming the house with a giant satellite dish, it was "unacceptable". I've used this type of collar in the past and couldn't find one locally so I ordered one from Revain. I used the sizing chart but my dog is small for his breed and about an inch longer but still works. I've seen many reviewers say their dogs have developed bedsores. I don't leave mine on all day - when the dog is under my direct supervision I take him off. Just use your common sense as the ends aren't really soft. It works like a charm on my dog and allows her to live without having her house smashed with a pubic cone.
