I tried several times to measure with a tape measure, ruler and even a rope. and just couldn't get the right measurement. So I read something and they recommended them and I'm glad I spent a few bucks on them. I could accurately measure the glass of an old watch, order a new one, and have it made in minutes. my point Several have tried before this tool and they were all wrong. Got this tool and mastered it the first time. I was only wrong by 0.02 cm, which is quite small but important when looking for the right watch glass/glass cover size.
