Review on πŸ”’ TSA Approved Luggage Locks - 2 Pack of 4-Digit Combination Steel Padlocks - Travel Lock for Suitcases & Baggage - Black by Sheppard Priest

I didn't go through TSA before I was hacked

All TSA approved locks are relatively fragile and there is less than a 50% chance that I'll take my luggage off the airport carousel with the lock still on . The first time I used these locks, my luggage was checked in and went through TSA, but then the flight was canceled and my suitcase was returned to the till. One lock was completely picked and the second lock was bent and half open. All TSA locks give a false sense of security considering they are so easy to pick and more than 400 TSA employees have been fired for theft. TSA locks to minimize theft from baggage handlers and the possibility of a TSA agent stealing something and therefore taking something valuable in my carry-on. At my hotel, I use a standard combination lock, which is much stronger and has a thicker shackle. The bottom line is wasted money. It's best not to keep anything valuable or something you absolutely must have at your destination. I am paying for Premium Economy Class or Business Class so that I can take enough carry-on baggage to take what I need on my trip.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Boring packaging
