What sets this set apart from other sets is the bath bomb maker. You fill the bath bomb mixture, baking soda, dyes and fragrances into the mixing keg and turn the crank. But that doesn't mix the bath bomb mix, just mix it up in a bowl with a craft stick. Even if you open the bottom of the mixing keg to pour the bath bomb mix into the mold, you won't get the whole bath mix. It will stick to the mixer blades. So the first bath bomb we made didn't have enough bath mix to completely fill the bath mold. I had to disassemble the barrel to dig out the stuck mixture. Next, move the bottom of the bath bomb mold to the left side of the device and press the pink handle for 5 seconds. It does not matter. Joining the two parts of the mold to make a balloon-shaped bath bomb won't help. We ended up mixing up the rest of the bath bombs in a bowl. My daughter then squeezed the bomb mix into the top half of the mold and the bottom half, pulled the halves out of the mold and gently pressed the two parts of the bath bomb together, using some of the remaining mix to fill the joint sections. This kit contains enough mix to make 5 bath bombs, 3 glitter colors, 2 scents (cotton candy and strawberry), a sachet of glitter and sunflower oil. All in all, it's not the best gift as the bath bomb maker doesn't work properly. But the bath bombs themselves, which my daughter made without a machine, came out beautifully and sizzled great in the bath.
