Review on 🦷 Enhance Your Oral Care Routine with Oral-B Pro 1000 CrossAction Electric Toothbrush in Green by Paula Brown

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A Boeing plane takes off in the mouth but cleans very well.

My dentist recommended that I switch from a Phillips Sonicare to an Oral B electric toothbrush for easier access to and around my back teeth. I've had a kind of Sonicare brush for 15 years now. I hesitated with the exchange. When the Oral B arrived I unpacked it and all went well. I washed the small head of the brush against it and decided to get to work immediately. I pressed the power button and I swear the rocket went into space - right in my head. That thing is LOUD! Much louder than the Sonicare toothbrush I've been used to over the years. There's a certain appeal behind it, though, and some pretty hefty bristles. I vowed to wait a full week before making a final decision. What I miss most is the silence of my Phillips Sonicare brush and the minimalistic timer function, but it really is. Everything else is a sacrifice for me. Oral B provides a deeper and more thorough cleaning of teeth and gums. However, the timer function of this brush is a bit strange. It feels like he is "missing". It's like pushing the engine too hard and it burns out for a split second before revving up again. It also doesn't automatically turn off after two minutes - it just endlessly shakes your brain until you turn it off. I personally don't find this feature useful. I noticed that you CAN charge this toothbrush with a Philips Sonicare base. It is the same design concept that the brush is placed on the charging base. No matter which charger I take out of the box, Oral B doesn't last long. It flashes brightly for several weeks to give it some juice. My Sonicare can easily run for weeks on a single charge if used twice a day. This empties pretty quickly. I would like the Oral B tips to come with a cap/cap. Overall I like this toothbrush. It's not my favorite and I prefer the stealth and smoothness of the Phillips Sonicare more BUT Oral B outperforms other brands at deep cleaning. The brush head vibrates and vibrates just can't be beat. I confess that I still use the Sonicare brush in the mornings. I'm not fully awake and not a morning person at all, so I don't want to start my day with the sound of a Boeing taking off in my mouth. With Sonicare, I can take good care of my mornings. However, at night I always use the Oral B brush to thoroughly clean and remove the residue from dinner before bed. I'm not ready to fully embrace this brush yet, but I like it enough to keep and keep using it. I feel like its overall function outweighs its aesthetics. Oral B if you are reading this; Please make it quieter, give it a longer lasting battery, and please put a cap on the brush head to store and spray styling products and perfumes.
