They work and are smart. No notion of durability. However, they were very loose when they arrived, resulting in the lights flickering on and off while trembling at the sockets. The problem with the midpoint is that the contacts on the hot side of the socket aren't sufficiently pronounced; In other words, it's too shallow, preventing the bulb from fitting snugly in the socket. I solved this problem by putting a drop of solder on each dot and expanding it. Now the bulbs are firmly seated and working as expected from the factory. Bad quality control.
