Review on 🐉 Premium Silkworms Bearded Dragon Food by Zoo Med - An Ideal Diet Choice! by Kimberly Johnson

So my 9 year old bearded dragon has stopped eating and I have been hand feeding him for over a year now. He got fed up with the dubia roaches and I started buying live silkworms for over 2 years. These last 4 orders of silkworms that I received from a very reputable company died for me before they were fully grown. Being so frustrated that I now didn't have any live worms for my beard, I reminded myself I had a jar of these silkworms in my closet for my bearded dragon to taste them on this occasion. My bearded husband doesn't usually care about dead bugs, so I was pretty sure I had to toss one in his open mouth. So I opened the jar from the outside for fear of the smell which customers complained about but I didn't detect any odor, of course I didn't put my nose in the jar either. So I chose a fat dead silkworm ready to give to my beard. I brought it to his mouth and it touched his mouth and fell off the tweezers. My bearded husband was so excited he immediately climbed after the worm and ate it! I was so surprised because he had previously shown no interest in canned insects and had not shown any interest in his own insects in over a year. I gave him 3 more and he swallowed them too. Because he's old he can only eat 3-4 worms every other day, so he's disappointed that the worms only last 7 days in an open jar, although it can be cheaper and less hassle than buying live silkworms. I know he gets bored if he gets the same food over a long period of time and these dead worms were dark in color instead of white so they could look like a new insect to him and when it fell he thought that it a living insect. . At the moment he loves them and so I'm glad I found something to give him when live insects aren't available. I was not paid or given anything for writing this review. I rarely write reviews either, but I was so glad I had to write these. I care so much about my animals that I get excited when I do something that makes them happy!
