I tried a regular dovetail cutter, it worked fine with my dovetail clamps. I usually had to put the clamps through the slots to move them. This cutter fits these clips perfectly, they go through the slots easily, making the clips much more enjoyable to use. I was a bit skeptical but found it was worth the investment.
