Review on πŸ–ŠοΈ Staedtler Double-hole Tub Pencil Sharpener 512 001 ST by Morgan Gilmore

. Brand I thought it might be a good sharpener. I used it a lot

I bought this sharpener because it had a little door so the shavings stay self sufficient until I emptied it and because of the brand I thought it might be a good sharpener. I have used it a lot. I wouldn't say it was any sharper than other sharpeners I've used before. I like two holes of different sizes. The smaller hole is great for using my Staedtler and Derwent pencils and the larger hole is great for using my Prismacolor and Derwent crayons. I've had it for a few months and it's getting a bit boring. I'm a pencil artist so I used it like crazy. I like that it's small enough to fit in my pencil case and keeps chips pretty well inside instead of all over my pencil case. It's easy enough to pop open and empty the chips and still be sure the lid won't come off when you don't want it to. It's not fantastic for sharpening Prismacolors pencils, but I haven't found a sharpener that works better. was a good buy in every way. The only thing preventing it from getting 5 stars is that I couldn't find blades to buy separately to replace if needed and I think the KUM brand sharpener blades are better.

Pros
  • Pencil sharpener
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
