Review on Samsung DA29 00020B HAF CIN Refrigerator Filter by Dave Butler

Bought two packs and couldn't fit the filter. My fiancé made it in and all was fine for about four weeks until one afternoon last week I was in the kitchen and had just started pouring water out of our Samsung fridge! I opened the door and a piece of filter fell to the floor. Water was pouring out of the hole and I couldn't get the rest of the filter out to put in the other one I had on hand. My fingers didn't fit to grab it. I was home alone, couldn't get the fridge out of the alcove to make the water shut off worthless, so I had to turn off the power to our pump (we're at the country house, by the well) and had to turn on all the faucets to get the water out drain our system to stop it. Our shut-off valve under the house is rusted, so no repair. Thank god I was there. I had to scoop water until it stopped and then needed all the towels I had to clean up the mess. I later read reviews online and found that many people have trouble installing these filters, but in my five minutes of research I didn't come across any similar issues. Anyway, look at the picture. It broke and I couldn't put the part in the fridge. My fiancé had to unscrew parts of the lid to finally get it out. I have a second one, but I feel like a ticking time bomb. Seriously Samsun, why don't you fix this issue? I'll post it back when I have time to clear it up. UPDATE - last night the second filter failed as well! Do not buy this product.
