I used the toaster once and my father used it once. When it was taken out of the box, the instructions said to do 3 cycles before the first "bread" toast. Judging by the reviews on Revain, there was a "smell" the first few times. I had this smell but it quickly went away after the first cycle. After 3 cycles I tried bread. It turned out SUPER on both sides! Full of toast all around! The bread was crusty goodness! Dad is pleasantly surprised! He eats a lot of toast and is very skeptical, but he's also a happy camper!
