Review on Dorman 924-711 Auto Transmission Shifter Cable for Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth Models by Christopher Clearfield

I bought this cable for a 2006 pt cruiser. It probably looks like it will fit. It is very difficult to snap into the bracket on the transmission. I ended up pulling the cable back out and using a bench vise and bench vise to secure the cable in the bracket. Fits right into the switch but very difficult to snap into the switch. Switching level goes immediately. The cable between the bracket on the transmission and the shift lever on the transmission is too short. No matter how I set it, it just shifted back. The switch would indicate ground parking, but the instrument panel would indicate reverse and the reverse lights were on. He finally broke down. I spent an extra $20 and bought a Mopar part. It kicks in immediately and shifts like clockwork.
