When I bought this remote control, I didn't realize at first that it was not an original Sony remote control, but a non-genuine copy. The price should have made this clear as genuine Sony remotes are more expensive, even in used condition. However, this block works quite well. The build feel isn't as solid as the original Sony remote. This is particularly noticeable in the key operation, which is a bit more fiddly than the original. At work I found it more orientation sensitive than the original remote; This device doesn't work as well as the original unless you point it directly at the TV. The actual range seems sufficient, but I only need it to work at 6 meters. Overall, for the price, this is a worthy replacement for the original remote. Bought an extra for the next time the dog wants to try changing the channel!
