Review on Thule 3203037 Subterra Daypack Dark Shadow by Jim Moody

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Robust bag with very large and very easy access.

I grew up in the luggage industry. My father had a shop that sold luggage, briefcases and carry-ons. So I've seen every bag imaginable and fixed more zippers and tears than I can count. So I feel like I can easily define durability like in this Thule Subterra pack. Okay, I also like the way it looks. nice bonus. Now I'm a teacher and my needs change from week to week. Sometimes I just need to move my laptop, maybe for lunch. Sometimes I need some papers, some books and lunch. For me, this bag is the best book bag I've ever had. Mainly because it has fewer and larger pockets than other brands that boast millions of zipped compartments. Too many compartments just make me rummage through my bag longer. This Thule bag features an empty main compartment accessed via a side zip. This allows you to load content from the top or side, which is very convenient. A spacious bottle holder on one side and a large collapsible pocket on the other are also great features. A chest compression strap (I'm not hiking yet), sturdy shoulder straps and a top handle complete the features to make this bag easy to handle. Tomorrow I can easily slip this soft, beautifully lined bag under an airplane seat without worrying about what's inside. I also love how this bag closes, or the many ways it closes. A lot of things I do require me to get in and out of my bag frequently, so I find the buckle flaps a bit awkward. When I don't need a super secure closure, this weighted flap and part of the pocket folds up (like a bag of potato chips) and stays that way. VERY convenient for me. Of course, it's easy enough to fasten the two nicely placed buckles. Finally, the thick nylon feels very strong, the zippers and drawstrings are large, and the clips are very strong and large enough. I was able to touch this bag and pick it up at the stationery store. and loved its properties. This price is significantly lower (about 30%) than the price in the store. I look forward to using this bag for a long time and with Thule's support I know I can get help if I need it. (with guarantee)
