My little daughter has loved this book since she was 2 months old and now at 3 months she can finally hold and play with it! Bought this book in anticipation of her teething. Since she was fascinated with putting her hands in her mouth, I wanted her to get something cute and safe. This is the only toy she had when she was two months old and it was easy enough to handle on her own. The crumpled pages made her want to hold and play with them, and this leap made her very good at grasping things with her hands. She sat and flipped the pages back and forth, just smiling at the sounds. Now she can put it in her mouth and chew a little bit. I wash EVERYTHING as soon as it arrives and it washes great in the washing machine. The squeaker still works great, there are no signs of washing. I air dried. She likes a piece of paper on one of the pages and tries to chew on it. Each page has a neat texture that a kid can feel. Everything in this little book is just perfect for a young child learning to grasp and teeth.
