When you remove this unit from its packaging, handle it with care. Specifically, a subwoofer that has its speaker cone located at the bottom of the subwoofer. If you take it from below you can damage it very easily. When set up properly, I found this soundbar to have very good sound. However, it took me some time to reach this state. Knowing everything like most men, I went through the instructions, plugged in the soundbar and was extremely disappointed with the sound quality. Here are some tips to make the task easier. If you're doing a horizontal installation in front of the TV at ear level, the volume button on the panel should be on top, and the small indicators showing volume level, etc. should be on the left, facing you. WATCH TV. Thus, the speakers are facing you. Also, I had trouble finding the audio settings on my TV to turn off the internal speakers and use the external speakers. Of course, I thought, gosh, just turn the volume on the TV speakers down to zero and it should be the same. Not correct! You must find and turn on the external speakers and turn off the internal speakers for this soundbar to work properly. The soundbar comes with a remote control which is an absolute must have no matter which soundbar you order. Please read the user manual carefully as you need to use the "Previous" and "Next" buttons to adjust the subwoofer, bass and treble settings. Of course, knowing everything, I assumed that the volume up and down buttons would adjust these settings. Not right! There are also buttons to enable TruVolume and TruSurround HD, but the instructions don't tell you exactly when to use those settings or what they actually do. I suggest trying both settings and see if you hear a difference in sound quality. I've read a few complaints about the bass not being that strong, but I found it excellent. I'm wondering if these users had the subwoofer in the right place and if they figured out how to raise the subwoofer. Adjusting subwoofer levels with the remote control and when the subwoofer stops working and needs to be 'reconnected'. Min, with the subwoofer on to the right and just the remote control, you should be very happy with the results. Why only 4 stars for this product? Firstly, the user manual could be more informative about the settings of the remote control and secondly, the ergonomics of the remote control are very poor in my opinion. The volume control in particular is usually an up and down switch on every remote I've ever used, but not on this one. The ingenious technical designer of this remote control chose to place a large square play/pause button between the volume up and down buttons. Consequently, the touch volume control is the worst remote I've ever owned. , after setting it up properly, you should be very happy with the sound quality of this soundbar.
