Insects escape and handles/lids are loose

My kids love learning about bugs and I'm glad spiders are breaking the stereotype of evil spiders. I managed to catch a few house spiders and we kept them in glass mason jars but I was glad to get these keepers because they have light and I could easily add the bugs and the kids could enjoy the feast. . Well, I placed two house spiders (a parish spider and a house spider. Neither spider is very big or tiny, and they were significantly larger than all the small holes in this animal shed. Both times I tried to use the barn, until morning the Spiders were gone, I haven't figured out how they escaped yet, but after carefully inspecting the box for several days to make sure they weren't hiding REALLY REALLY WELL, I removed the lid for a closer inspection and confirmed, that yes, I managed to release two spiders in my daughter's room Very disappointed that we have to keep using tin cans as it is more difficult to add the bugs once you catch the web Spider (disrupts the web every time, if you insert a bug). The second problem with them is that we took them to the creek in case we encounter any interesting creatures n should. The handles kept popping out while my kids carried them, although I make sure the handles were secure before the G lives with them. They didn't handle them roughly at all - they carried them by the handle as usual, only the handles popped out on the sides. If we caught a frog or something heavy, the handles would not be able to hold when carrying the box. Aside from the mystery of disappearing house spiders and the unsteadiness of handles, these are cute little animal scales. I would recommend these for ages 4 and up as the lids and handles can easily come off if a small child "plays" with the shed while the animal is inside. Even after making sure the lid is properly closed, I don't think it won't pop out. In my opinion it is too easy to open. The light, size, and ability to add more bugs without removing the entire lid are great, but I figured my kids could just use the boxes for observation and (not really handling the boxes) to sniff out escaped critters prevent what is frustrating.
