Insect Lore: Two Cups Caterpillars Kit - The Ultimate Butterfly Growing Experience! Review

I've ordered these caterpillar mugs many times over the last few years, most of the time directly from Insect Lore, and have never had a problem. This shipment arrived in 11 days, the caterpillars were almost fully grown. The cups were certainly disturbed upon delivery. Food was everywhere and there were caterpillars in several cups that didn't survive. I will NOT be ordering these from Revain again, only directly from Insect Lore.

Last year I had great success with my Insect Lore caterpillars and successfully released 80% of my butterflies. This year I had the complete opposite of success. Out of 10 caterpillars: - 10 turned into a pupa, but two immediately turned dark black and shriveled. - 6 "hatched" from their chrysalis (the other 2 never completed their transformation) - 2 of the 6 transformed died instantly, lying on their side, not moving for several hours. We used to order splints from another supplier. For some reason we had a much better survival rate this time. We got 9 (not 10) tracks but everything went so smoothly that I don't give a star. 1 cocoon out of 9 fell out of the lid very early, but we carefully placed him on the bottom of the cage (near the wall and on a piece of kitchen paper) and he stood up normally.
