Easy. Effective. The price is right.

I have several e-collars that I have bought over the years including most of the well known brands. I needed a collar - actually bought a set with two dogs - for use at home in the garden. I've looked at some of the collars I've had in the past, but the Bousnic brand caught my eye - initially because of the price. Looking at the specs, it looks too good to be true. When I receive it I can verify that it was exactly as it was listed. The remote control is very easy to use with a separate button for each of the functions - vibration, sound and stimulation. This was amazing compared to other models I've used that have multiple single button presses to change function from one type to another. It's also easy and simple to switch between dog one and dog two or adjust the volume/stimulation level. Good job on usability. To give a completely honest and complete review, some of the differences between this collar and more expensive models are (1) the weight - for small dogs the weight and profile of the stimulation unit can be very important. It has a relatively good low profile but is a bit chunky and heavy compared to some models. Other than that I have 20# dogs and that was enough for what I wanted. (2) Range - Specified range is 1000 feet, suitable for backyard use. Some of the other training collars I've used have a range of up to 1/2 mile, but I don't need this collar for that. I will only say. (3) Collar โ€“ The collar portion of an e-collar is a relatively minor consideration as it can be substituted for a number of collars on the market for this purpose. Most I've had before are waterproof plastic or Beta material, while this one has a plain nylon collar that doesn't hold up as tightly as some other collars and the weight of the crotch block can make it a bit baggy. On the plus side, the collar has a quick release buckle instead of a buckle and is adjustable. I've paid a lot of money to add quick buckle collars to other already expensive collars, so it had a certain appeal, but over time I'll probably have to replace this collar to keep it fitting properly and not sagging. nice features at a very reasonable price - and in my case, just what I needed: a backyard collar to "reach out and touch" someone remotely.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • No automatic control
