Red power button works 24/7

I didn't want to connect power to the ignition source, I decided to connect directly to the battery for 'anytime' lighting. The only annoying thing is that the red power light is on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It bothers me. I don't want a red light on 24/7. I'll look into the possibility of gluing in another switch that only glows when the light is on. To me it's like accidentally leaving the dome light on all night. Is not nobody got time for that!
