So this seemed like a good buy as I was looking to replace the old 64oz. a plastic pitcher with one that doesn't contain BPA. I searched a long time to find one that also weighed 64 ounces and based on the description here I bought this one. When he arrived he seemed quite small. After bringing it home and measuring I was right and as others have pointed out it is NOT 64 ounces. They say it's 64 ounces or 1.9L, but that's a false claim. It actually only holds just over 1.5 liters and is definitely a far cry from 64 ounces. It's quite frustrating when you expect a product to be as described. The lid also has problems. They say to hold while pouring, so I think even the manufacturer will admit that the lid doesn't fit in a way that feels secure. My rubber gasket didn't seat properly and even when trying to replace it the lid just doesn't fit right, it sticks out on one side no matter how I try to put it in there. Luckily the lid doesn't fall off when pouring, but looks like it will as the lid doesn't fit properly. And the opening valve is just a small round hole, which does not allow smooth pouring. Instead, it "gurgles, gurgles," resulting in splattering since it doesn't have the air supply to pour smoothly. The lid is almost easier to remove as it has somewhat square corners and sticks out from the corner opposite the tiny handle (don't know why the handle is so small?), but removing and re-removing the lid is annoying. This is a disappointment. Seems well made, part of the jug but not sure why the lid is ineffective and you would think they would test it for pouring and make the spout accordingly. And why not just specify the exact size? It seems pointless to exaggerate the size and upset the buyer.
