works for me

Radiant 15A Tamperproof GFCI USB Type-A/C Self Test Receptacle White (Pass & Seymour) (If you do not know anything about electrical work do not attempt this installation. Before installing similar items, find out your house wiring, or consult (See an Electrician. THIS REVIEW IS NOT AN INSTALLATION GUIDE! I'M JUST TELLING YOU MY EXPERIENCE.) I installed this outlet to replace a non-GFCI outlet. This GFCI socket appears to be of good quality. It has a good weight and the exit is narrow. The instructions seem clear and explain the various functions and terms. The instructions state that GFCI outlets can be more difficult to install than a regular outlet and yes, mine took longer to install. Note: Regular plugs that don't have a box attached directly work well with USB cables, but plugs with a built-in power adapter (AC-to-DC function) may not work with USB cables that are plugged into an outlet at the same time Time. (tested with USB cable A and C). I have a feeling most of these outlets will have the same issues due to lack of space. My installation adventure experience: The circuit is separated in the fuse box. I removed the 1st set of ground wires (copper - only one), load wires (white), and hot power wires (black) from my non-GFCI outlet. I installed a GFCI outlet, plugged in the outlet tester and got a Hot/Ground reverse code. The solution was to use the 2nd white wire (confirmed by fixing it with a socket tester). 2 sets of white and black sockets as the other sockets were chained to this one. Crossed out another item on the must-do list! I recommend this Pass & Seymour GFCI socket based on my installation experience, the instructions that came with it, and the quality. sensation of the components. I received this outlet as part of the Revain Vine program.

Pros
  • Self test every 3 seconds provides continuous ground fault protection for added security. In addition, if the test fails, the indicator (red LED) will flash, signaling a problem and the need to replace the outlet.
Cons
  • Blankable
