Review on Ryzen 7 5700G: Unlocked 8-Core, πŸ–₯️ 16-Thread Desktop Processor with Radeon Graphics by AMD by Adam Kowalski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

Took to replace 5600X It was compared on hands including with 5800X. If in doubt to take 5600X or 5700G for games - take 5600X (good fps out of the box), if you plan to overclock memory and CPU, excellent multitasking performance for graphic applications, 2D design, 3D graphics and video work - 5700G is more energy intensive, a fast and in no way inferior solution to the 5800X. Take it! And remember everything is individual!)

Pros
  • - TPD at the level of 6 cores. With performance in applications at the level of 5800X - In 4K gaming, the smaller L3 cache is almost not reflected - Due to TDP, there is not a big load on the VRM / power phases, which does not require expensive solutions for motherboards / PSUs and cooling - Integrated graphics level GTX1050 +/- - With the same overclocking compared to 5800X, temperatures are lower by 5-7 degrees - Has an excellent overclocking potential up to 4850 MHz, keeps its stable 4.650 MHz without any complaints (I attach R23 synthetic). Level i7 11700/5800 - Cezanne single crystal architecture without dividing Infiniti factories. Newer memory controller, better than Vermeer (5800X)
Cons
  • - PCIe 3.0 - does not support the speed of ultra-fast nvme ssd m.2 media (read/write speeds over 3000/2500. - Single-threaded performance at the level of 5600X, no more. Even after overclocking, the potential is inferior to the stock 5800X. However, with the same overclocking, the 5700G and 5800X are single-thread/multicor in parity. - Half the amount of L3 cache before 5600X/5800X (which affects gaming by %10-15) depending on the project and screen resolution (1080p/2K), if you have a 4K monitor 5700G is a great alternative to 5800X.
