Double Pole Mountain Bike Child Seat

I ordered this child bike seat adapter for my 2 year old who is getting too restless to ride in traction behind the stroller. front, but that's for a two-bar mountain bike. I still tried to install but the bike seat requires a wedge to keep the child seat parallel to the ground as it is designed to install parallel to the bar it is mounted on. He also uses the double handlebars on the adult bike for stability. A child's footrest interferes with the front wheel of my bike. It looks like it will fit the bike it's intended for, but it's just not compatible with my bike.
