Review on AMD Ryzen 3 1300X Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler - High Performance Desktop CPU by Rail Basri

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Affordable processor for general system upgrades

I really like this processor as it is a transition from the Intel i3 2120 which has served me very well over the years. I noticed a significant performance improvement across the board. This processor runs well and is cool with the stock cooler. I really try to use quiet setups and haven't had good results with previous generations of AMD processors due to their heat issues and unreliable coolers. In my opinion, they really nailed this line. It runs cool, quiet (with stock cooler) and handles my everyday games and some test VMs with ease. I paired this with: - ASRock AB350 Gaming 4K Board (surplus but on sale) - EVGA GeForce GTX 1050Ti SC graphics card (wow that's expensive these days, bought used for a fraction of the current price) - 16GB Gskill RAM Flare X 2400 The only small problem is that I couldn't overclock the processor (the RAM overclocked without problems). I got lazy and didn't do much troubleshooting because the default speed suits me. Better let it run cool and quiet. [Edit: I've been using this new processor for 4 months at the time of writing this review]
