Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Handheld Console Portable Birthday Besosay by Eric Rose

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Holey Moley this is cool, I was expecting raw graphics on early consoles but got arcade quality!

For less than $20, this couldn't be better in the world of retro gaming. I was expecting some old NES block rough graphics and what I got were probably the exact ROMs used in the arcade machine versions. Pacman, Defender II (Stargate), Dig Dug, Galaga and many more. Well I think if you count to 400 you can count them. I forgot how much memory you can get cheap these days and now you can basically have most of your arcade machines at home. The separate controller is basically an NES model, apart from the machine itself, but they're head and shoulders above even SNES quality games. They're arcade quality. The portable device's small screen has a very good resolution, although it is a bit small, they include an AV cable to connect to a large screen. My TVs are a bit modern for that right away, so I have to order a $12 AV to HDMI converter cable to play in big mode. I've played enough of these arcade games to know that they aren't poorly rendered old console versions. This brings me back to the old days of coin operated slot machines. If there's anything to criticize, it's the tediousness of accessing games when they're buried deep in the list. The manual is entirely in Chinese, so I don't see a way to do this and you'll have to figure out how to navigate, select a specific game and launch it. Under normal circumstances I would deduct for such things, but at under $20 for a rechargeable handheld gaming console of this quality, if it only had a good game or two on it, the price would be doubly justified. The battery looks like a cell phone battery, so it can probably be replaced if you can no longer charge it. Additional controls allow two players to act, and in games there is such an option when choosing the name I. I'm just amazed. I haven't delved into all 400 games, not even close, so maybe not all of them are arcade ROMs, but every one of the 7 or 8 titles I tried was, so who knows, maybe they all are! Recommended, recommended and more, especially for those of us who grew up in the arcade gaming culture of the late 70's and 80's. I can't wait to play it on a 65 inch flat screen, it should get even cooler.
