Review on πŸ’» Plugable AB Switch - USB 3.0 Sharing Switch for Instant One-Button USB Device or Hub Swapping Between Two Computers by Matt Simpsons

Shuts down and freezes both laptops

Update: 1st Sep 18. Tried another USB 3.0 switch (different brand) and ended up with the same hang/shutdown issues. Finally I replaced the Targus dock with a USB 3.0 plug-in and everything works as it should. No more trouble. I assume the Targus station is sensitive to EVERY USB 3.0 switch (but worked fine with a 2.0 switch!) (monitor, BT keyboard/mouse, speakers and USB flash drive) and a plugable after all 2.0 USB switch. No problem. I switched to the Plugable USB 3.0 switch and both computers freeze. Dock disconnects for no reason and then reconnects. This happens with every laptop. I've used new cables and tried the original cables with any laptop plugged directly into a hub (not a switch). The cables are fine, both original and replacement. As usual, the docking station works excellently with every single laptop. This is Switch 3.0! I've always had a lot of experience with pluggable devices (USB switches, printer switches, docking stations), but I guess I got a lemon this time.
