When I compared the new version to my old Columbia Techlite sandals, it was clear that the quality had dropped. The old model had a nicely shaped arch that supported the insole and even provided some toe protection. The new model has a flat footbed with no arch or toe protection, and the sandal has an odd feel. The size was small as my toes dangled in the front. I had to return it. I wish Columbia would keep making vintage sandals that lasted me for about 10 years. I don't understand why these companies are playing around with a tried and true recipe? Now I'm looking for another brand.
