I ordered this product small and very small for my cat. Extra Small fits my 10 lb athletic cat - 9" neck and 13" chest - he's about 3 feet long (not including the tail). I wanted to wait to walk around with it before leaving a review. I bought a Flexi Red Small retractable bandleader that is 16 inches long and is $27 at my local Petsmart. After I got the harness, I put it on the cat right away so he could get used to it. It was very easy. although in truth I thought he was going crazy with the velcro (which he didn't). He immediately seemed much more comfortable and relaxed in it - he wasn't hunched over and even seemed to love it (after I undressed him (12 hours) he "hung out" with her). The next step was to check the reliability of the suspension. We just got off - a bit startled at the sight of two golf carts on the track - and a few people on the path coming towards us, but this harness with the flexi leash was perfect. The only thing I like is that I could remove the leash at the foot and pick up the cat without hurting it, in every situation I made. I don't want him in there. This is the perfect combination if you want to walk a cat who is crazy and has a real scared cat.
